VILLA VISTA DEPARTURE CHECKLIST

THANK YOU for choosing my home for your vacation. I hope that you had a pleasant stay. Together we do our very best to provide you with a clean, functional and tastefully decorated home with lovely outdoor spaces that inspire. Please follow the following guidelines before your departure.

CHECKOUT TIME

11 A.M. PST. Please adhere to the schedule because staff arrives promptly at 11 and needs every minute available to them to prepare the property for the next guest. There are no late checkouts unless previously arranged. 

HOUSE, DISHES, APPLIANCES

The house must be left in good condition.  Dishes must be washed and put away and appliances left clean. 

BEDS 

DO NOT strip the beds.

TOWELS

Please wash and dry any hot tub towels you can and then start a load of towels before you leave. Wash with 1/3-cup soap and cold water. If towels are stained with anything including makeup just leave them in the laundry basket and housekeeping will treat them accordingly. 

Thank you, we often have a very short window to get the laundry finished and your help with this is VERY MUCH appreciated by housekeeping. 

FURNITURE INSIDE OR OUT THAT HAS BEEN MOVED

Please re-place any furniture that you may have moved.  It is often too difficult for a single housekeeper to put things back in place on their own.

OUTDOORS FURNITURE

Please cover the sofas, umbrellas (Use the ladder provided to reach the tops), chimera and BBQ. 

GAS BAR-B-Q 

Be sure the gas tank is turned off at the tank and the grilling tools are left clean. If the tank is left empty a note to housekeeping is appreciated to ensure the next guest a full tank. 

DOGS

If your dog is a shedding type, make sure there is no dog hair on the furniture and you have cleaned up after your pet in the yard or driveway when you depart. 

FIREPLACE

Turn off the fireplace by using the toggle switch at the top right back of the unit. 

TRASH 

Upon departure please remove all food (except provided condiments) and place all trash in the proper trash can bins outside on the driveway. If you fail to recycle, you will likely exceed the trash capacity.  If this happens please advise us so we can make arrangements. Always re-lock the bin doors.

Trash Pick-up is Friday morning before 7AM. It is your responsibility to take your trash from the house to the bins only. The caretaker will move the cans to the driveway and back unless something else has been prearranged. 

LIGHTS AND APPLIANCES

Turn off all lights and appliances. Be sure to close the refrigerator door.

KEYS

The keys with the rose can be left on the counter as you found it.  Please lock the door with the key in the lockbox and then relock that key back in the box. (You sometimes need to adjust the door by pulling it out a small amount to sink the deadbolt.) 

Please then lock the single key from the lock box back in the lockbox even if house keeping has arrived. Housekeeping is not usually aware of the codes you’ve been given so they are likely not able to do it for you.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

When you leave the house it is easiest to back out the driveway staying parallel and a few feet from the house. Back down Willig far enough to straighten out and go up the hill. This is not a one-way road but most of the neighbors exit uphill because it is easiest. Make a left on Hereford Dr. at the first intersection and another left on La Porte Dr. at the next and you will be back on Hwy One.
